There is no excuse for a professional product to be in this state, and everyone involved in its development and design should be ashamed their names are attached to it. I'm legitimately shocked that people were paid money to design this program, people at the premiere graphic design software company, no less. InDesign is diarrhea that keeps passing through Adobe year after year, and somehow they don't seem to think that's a problem. It runs like rancid garbage, it's incompatible with other Abode products in numerous ways, the workflow is awful, the functionality is often illogical, and large swathes of the UI makes no sense whatsoever. That's not a joke, InDesign literally deleted the PDF after I clicked to save over it, and forced me to start the entire saving a PDF process over again, which as was stated takes TEN MINUTES. And you know what happened the first time I tried to save over the old PDF? InDesign deleted it. It just took me 20 minutes to save one small PDF. Maybe one of the Outlooks?įrom the unimaginably slow performance (on an absolute top of the line machine), to the terrible UX, to the bugs that are so bad they actually seem like a joke. InDesign is literally the worst professional program I have ever used.
